Description
"Legacy of Liberty” Pottstown history dinner WED 10/21 @ 6pm After the great turn-out and fantastic feedback we received from guests after our first event - we are pleased to invite you to join us for the 2nd installment in our Stories Over Supper Series.
An interactive dinner with history lecture by local historian Ryan Conroy. This WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 21, explore Pottstown's role in the founding of the nation. Pottstown played a supporting but meaningful role because of it's location along the Schuylkill River and important routes connecting Philadelphia with the surrounding countryside. During the war, the Pottstown area helped support the movement of soldiers and supplies throughout southeastern Pennsylvania, and became especially important during the Philadelphia Campaign of 1777–1778, when General George Washington’s Continental Army operated throughout Montgomery and Chester counties before settling at Valley Forge. Come explore a fascinating history where Pottstown helped support the struggle for American independence. "Legacy of Liberty” history dinner WED 10/21/26, 6pm, DOWNSTAIRS lower-level at JJ RATIGAN.
