The Office’s Kate Flannery Comes to Pottstown for Fourth Annual Film Festival
Hollywood Energy. Pottstown Heart.
POTTSTOWN, PA — Roll out the red carpet—Pottstown is stepping into the spotlight! The fourth annual Pottstown Film Festival returns October 9–11, 2026, bringing filmmakers, film lovers, and a familiar face from The Office to downtown High Street for a weekend celebrating the big screen.
Actress and comedian Kate Flannery, beloved for her role as Meredith Palmer on NBC’s The Office, joins the festivities as the opening-night special guest. On Friday, October 9, Rivet: Canteen & Assembly, 238 E. High Street, will welcome audiences for red-carpet arrivals, a special screening of How Hard Can It Be?, and a conversation and Q&A with Flannery.
Fans will hear about her career in television and film, her Philadelphia roots, and her upcoming memoir, Overserved: The Lucky Life of the Office Drunk, arriving December 1. It’s an opportunity to go beyond the screen and spend an evening with the performer behind one of television’s most recognizable comedy characters.
Your next great movie night starts in Pottstown.
How Hard Can It Be?
The opening-night film follows an ambitious New York reporter sent to cover the “Best Small Town in America,” where a former Marine and an unexpected connection to the community turn a straightforward assignment into something much more personal.
And opening night is just the beginning. Throughout the three-day festival, audiences can discover independent films, hear directly from filmmakers during Q&A panels, connect at networking events, and celebrate creative talent at the festival’s awards ceremony.
A Pottstown Native Brings the Big Screen Home
For festival founder Kyle Klaus, this is personal. A Pottstown native, actor, producer, writer, and entrepreneur, Klaus has appeared in television series including FBI, The Blacklist, Homeland, and The Last O.G. Now, he is bringing his passion for storytelling home—creating opportunities for audiences to connect with filmmakers and encouraging aspiring artists to imagine what is possible.
At its heart, the festival celebrates a powerful idea: big dreams can begin in a town like Pottstown.
Beyond the screenings, downtown becomes part of the experience. Grab dinner before the red carpet. Meet friends at a local brewery. Find a new favorite coffee shop between films. With historic High Street as the backdrop, festivalgoers are invited to make a weekend of it and discover the businesses and gathering places that give Pottstown its character.
Whether you know every episode of The Office, love discovering independent films, or simply want an exciting reason to spend a weekend downtown, this is your invitation.
The red carpet is coming to High Street. Be part of the story.
